The album BEYOND KARMA is the aptly-named brainchild of Australian musicologist and sacred-music leader Dr. Kim Cunio, who brings together on this project the chanters-for-millenniums the Gyuto Monks of Tibet alongside soprano vocalist Heather Lee (singing in various other languages of the world) plus a didgeridoo player and lots of ethnic instruments from all over. This is true world-fusion that goes beyond chant, beyond karma. Much of the music combines influences and sounds, but there also is a female all-vocal song and a solo piano piece. Cunio — who previously tackled albums of music to exemplify ancient Egyptian, Buddhist, Jewish and Christian societies and writings — brings some of those influences into this recording, once again cross-pollinating spiritual sounds. This is simply exquisite music that will make your spirit soar.
