I can’t make up my mind about this one. I want to like it and I also want to call Kavi on his cliché passages. There are songs where the chorus just keeps repeating the words “unconditional love” and he sounds like Dave Gilmore (of Pink Floyd) on “E.” After awhile I couldn’t stop myself from imagining swaying lotus flowers with smiley faces and dilated eyeballs on them with an ebullient sun bouncing along the horizon like a basketball inflated with helium. Not that this type of imagination is a bad thing; it’s an enjoyable trip. There is something cool about Kavi’s mood here: it’s a bit surreal and meditative. I know many yoga classes would dig the vibes and make it a regular on their playlists.I recommend this album as it definitely grooves and it’s perfect for ecstatic trance dances and workshops.
