Kamal once again plumbs the undersea depths and revisits one of his favorite inspirations with WHALE MEDITATION.
The majesty of whale song reverberated through the water pairs perfectly with Kamal’s fluid soundscapes, with their twirling plumes of synthesizer ambience, scant percussion and breathy bansuri flute. Like Kamal’s other aquatic musical endeavors, the music is overwhelmingly gentle with a subtle drone quality to it, making it appealing for Asian arts practices and healing work.
Included is a wonderful whale-infused rendition of Dvorak’s “New World Symphony,” as well as six other tracks that feature the new age sounds and serene sensibilities Kamal is known for.
