Like a soothing fountain, the new music of Terry Oldfield and his small ensemble will bathe the listener in gentle ambient synths, trickling water and nature sounds (recorded by Oldfield in Queensland, Austrailia), airy and essentially lyricless vocals, bells and other light percussion, and Indian instruments in Reiki Harmony’s evenhour of five pieces of music.
Above all his musical gentleness is Oldfield’spowerful bansuri flute performance, not to be missed – a combination of both his ability as a player and an incredible audio engineering effort that sounds as if the microphone were placed deep inside the flute (great for headphone listening). The rich and deep resonance of his lingering tones shoot directly to the very foundation of one’s inner core, encouraging (if not forcing) a state of deep relaxation.
In addition to reiki sessions, Reiki Harmony is essential for the massage, spa, or the healing arts professional.
