Folk harpists Lisa Lynne and Aryeh Frankfurter combine their substantial talent and skills on Two Worlds One, an album containing both original compositions and traditional folk tunes taken from a variety of world music cultures. Besides her usual Celtic harp, Lynne also plays guitar, mandolin, and bandoura, while Frankfurter contributes on cello , fiddle, viola, cittern, bandoura, and a fascinating instrument known as the Nyckelharpa, a Swedish harp which can be both plucked and bowed. Some numbers are lively and spirited (“Lauda” and “Morning Star”) while others are serene and imbued with a flowing gentility and grace (“Luna de Amor” and “Walk With Me”). No matter what the tempo or mood of a song, the mastery of the musicians is in evidence at all times.
