Although devotional music is becoming more and more available and prevalent and almost reaching glut proportions; there are still some recordings that have the ‘wow’ factor. I had never heard of Rasa before a friend called to tell me they were performing locally. It was a week later another friend gave me a Rasa recording that I had the ‘wow’ experience! Kim Waters (vocals) and Hans Christian (multi-instrumentalist) are Rasa.Temple of Love is their new recording. The singing (chants) are all traditional and in Sanskrit. The music is Hans Christian’s mix of traditional and what he finds inside him. It is peace filled, loving, kind, and contemplative. Kim Waters’ sweet voice leads and perfectly compliments the music and the words. Although the intent of the songs is serious the ambiance is filled with light. It is easy to listen to this over and over to become very relaxed and enter a meditative state. One doesn’t have to believe in any religion or belief system to understand this music. It will bring peace to each and every listener.
